Team Lamon, Invades The Glass House

This is quite recently, so I need to type it down before I lose interest on it.

Anyway, I would like to Introduce you first to TEAM LAMON, (la-mon ; means to eat a lot or eating a lot.) It is consist of yours truly, Clarissa, Sarah, Jovi, Marlon,  Jamella and Duday with our part-time buddy, Dwijin. Though the members are not official, maybe one of these days we will grow bigger. But now, this is who we are. Dwijin and I met them through Clarissa a.k.a Clang. During her Birthday Celebration.

Left to Right : Me, Clang, Jam, Jovi, Marlon and Duday

Anyway, last Monday, October 7 2013, we went to The Glass House at Fort Canning Hotel. Since it's Restaurant Week, Jovi reserved a table for Dinner. Originally, Sarah will be joining us but due to some work, she can't that's how we met Duday, a friend of Marlon and Jamella.

The Fort Canning Hotel is a very nice place, it's very Romantic place too bad Dwijin is not with us but still, I enjoy the night. The ambience of the Hotel and The Restaurant From outside is really cozy.

So please excuse us for the obsession photoshoot.

Surprisingly, for Restaurant Week, it's not really a Full House, though there's a 2 medium group of Ang Mo's having dinner and also a few table here and there. but still we give a benefit of doubts, because it's Monday and we reserved around 8:30 pm.

So we had a 3 course set menu. I forgot what they are being called but I can still tell you what are they.

So for soup, we have a Tomato soup with some emulsion. (The server is doesn't know what it is also)
The Soup is too sour for our taste bud or maybe we are really not a Fan of Tomato soup but I am sure there are  people like it. We try to put more Pepper and even salt. But I like their bread, there's a walnut on it. Too bad we didn't have a picture of it. I am only person (I guess) who managed to finish the soup. (though the taste really like a sauce for spaghetti)

For our main course, we all had a Steak. Though we already pre-ordered the doneness of our Steak, they still asked us. The server is having a hard time to remember our doneness but he did double check it with us. So, as far as I remember, I want a medium rare, Clang is Medium, Jam wants it well done and the rest is Medium Well.

So, when the Steak all come, we all talked about it. Because they served it in uneven doneness. I am really disappointed because I really like mine medium rare. But I pity Jamella who I guess not a fan
of "blood". Disappointed because they asked us but still give us wrongly.

But, the brighter side is, I enjoyed their Mashed Potato. I am not really a big fan of Mushroom but I did ate it, Dwijin must be very proud of me. another thing we liked is their Sauce / Gravy. Clang asked extra of it. I am the first one who finished the food.

For Dessert, We had a Pandan Crème Brule That is super sweet. We all didn't finished it. I don't understand the taste. I guess, Pandan really don't get along with Puddings or Crème Brule. Because I remembered when I am still experimenting with my business flavours, Pandan really sucks big time!
So, I super don't like their Dessert.

But they are very nice as they waved the corkage of the champagne that Clang brought. (It just happened I know someone there)

I cannot say it's a good food experience, but it's really a good bonding experience. So here are more photos from us enjoying the night. Photo credits to Clang.
