Using Oven 101

Recently, I'm into baking or anything that uses oven. Thanks Clang for sponsoring my oven which I named, Ovie. (I love naming to anything)

Since my crazy friend gave it to me, I already did quite a lot of things.

First things is, the SHEPHERDS PIE.

I did Shepherds Pie twice, first is when there's not much of cheese on it then the second one is, it's overloaded of two different Cheese. which I called, Cheeseoverload Shepherds Pie.

My first attempt of Shepherds Pie.

My improved, Shepherds Pie

and this is how it looks like inside :)

For this one, I didn't search for any recipes online, I did my own using my instinct. I just combined two of my old recipe, my own recipe for mashed potato and my recipe when I fried my minced pork.

Another thing is my baked potato with skin on it. I usually do this if we are having steak at home. (for my steak, I have my own way of marinating it.) Another Dwijin's favourite because of the bacon bits and overloaded cheese + the crispy skin.

I also do Dwijin's favourite, BAKED TUNA PASTA.

I used different Pasta, it depends on which one is on sale, same on the sauce, I changed it depends on the SALE..

I also do, grill some stuff like roasted chicken and fished using my Dad and Mom's recipe.

When it comes to baking, I baked some and still experimenting.

The first cake I ever baked is my Alcoholic Fruit cake, which I am selling now together with my own style of Leche Flans.

I didn't know that I don't have a photo of my Fruit Cake, But here's a photo of my Leche Flan that I am selling.

It all started when Dwijin is craving for fruit cake and asked me to bake for him

The second cake and first "big" caked I did is the Oreomadness cheesecake with the help of Sarah. I have a very good compliments with my Oreomadness Cheesecake, some of them are from "chefs" who managed to try it.

I bake this cake for the Surprise birthday party of Clang!

I also did, a coffee cupcakes. which I bring back home to Philippines and my sister, finished most of it. (well, she doesn't want to share them it's just that we told her so) She liked it so much that made me so happy, I liked doing a lot of things for my only sister. Too bad I didn't have a photo of it, Blame it to her!

I also did a so chocolaty brownies. That is the most chocolaty and chunky brownies according to my friends and Dwijin. So far, I haven't tried doing it again (I am not a fan of chocolates)

Another thing that I baked is the Pinkish Cupcake, have you heard of that? I am not sure if it's really existing, I just accidentally did it when I am doing a Red Velvet Cupcakes and did something wrong.
I told my friend Arvin, over the Facebook about it and he said just called it Pink Velvet Cupcakes. HAHA. So, I called it Pinkish Cupcake instead.

But last night, I baked the RED VELVET CUPCAKES. which turned out really nice. finally I did it right. :)

I am more experimenting of nice cupcakes or cakes that maybe I can sell in the near future. :)

My MAN's Birthday!

The 4 Days long, Dwijin's Birthday celebration is finally over. though I think he still had a hang-over because he had a hard time to woke up this morning.

Anyway, We started the celebration on October 12, his colleague made that day a full day off for him. It's a good thing though as he helped me a lot with the supposed to be a "surprise" BBQ party. Yes, it supposed to be a SURPRISE. but I got caught by not being a good liar. so, all the efforts of hiding it are all gone. We had a BBQ party downstairs near at the swimming pool, so the kids can enjoy the pool (but too bad, only one kid can swim, as the rest are just recovered from chicken pox).
We did enjoy the BBQ thing, his parents and brother attended, also his cousins and their kids and ofcourse his polymates, Zack and YK who helped a lot to do the bbq. (I invited his colleague and Uni friends but they can't make it).

Here are some of the BBQ Treats.

Well, October 13, it's his actual birthday, we just had our lunch at Nando's the one at the town after doing some errands. It's been so long since we ate at Nando's but we "almost" everyday eat chicken, so sorry but I don't appreciate chicken right now. after we had a good lunch, we head back home and had a very good sleep.

The Brave Dwijin, Ordered a Spicy one leh!

While Me, a Flag telling me that I am not brave enough!

And of course, our favourite soup, Mushroom soup! This is my favourite even though I hate mushrooms!

On the same day, I woke up for a while to prepare this

My home made Apple Pie!

I can say that, one of the proof of being a good homemaker is to provide delicious meals.

October 14, we went to a mall, to had dinner at this Japanese Restaurant that serves pasta. Dwijin liked it so much specially he is craving for pasta for quite a few days. Again, he ordered a bottle of wine (He loves to order a bottle of wine) but I can't help him to finish it as I am so scared now to drink due to acidic thingy.

Last Day of Dwijin's so called celebration is yesterday, we had a double date with our good friend Zack and his girlfriend Wendy. we actually went first to NTU,  where Zack's business is there,we had lunch there to support our friend (It's the other part of Singapore) We waited for him and meet his girlfriend at Jcube and Jem. Then there we had a double date.  I am seriously happy for Zack, because he looks very happy. I am looking forward for another bonding moments.

So....That's what happened to Dwijin's 31st Birthday. I know he had fun even though he didn't went to Malaysia or Boracay for a short escapade. hehehe.

Team Lamon, Invades The Glass House

This is quite recently, so I need to type it down before I lose interest on it.

Anyway, I would like to Introduce you first to TEAM LAMON, (la-mon ; means to eat a lot or eating a lot.) It is consist of yours truly, Clarissa, Sarah, Jovi, Marlon,  Jamella and Duday with our part-time buddy, Dwijin. Though the members are not official, maybe one of these days we will grow bigger. But now, this is who we are. Dwijin and I met them through Clarissa a.k.a Clang. During her Birthday Celebration.

Left to Right : Me, Clang, Jam, Jovi, Marlon and Duday

Anyway, last Monday, October 7 2013, we went to The Glass House at Fort Canning Hotel. Since it's Restaurant Week, Jovi reserved a table for Dinner. Originally, Sarah will be joining us but due to some work, she can't that's how we met Duday, a friend of Marlon and Jamella.

The Fort Canning Hotel is a very nice place, it's very Romantic place too bad Dwijin is not with us but still, I enjoy the night. The ambience of the Hotel and The Restaurant From outside is really cozy.

So please excuse us for the obsession photoshoot.

Surprisingly, for Restaurant Week, it's not really a Full House, though there's a 2 medium group of Ang Mo's having dinner and also a few table here and there. but still we give a benefit of doubts, because it's Monday and we reserved around 8:30 pm.

So we had a 3 course set menu. I forgot what they are being called but I can still tell you what are they.

So for soup, we have a Tomato soup with some emulsion. (The server is doesn't know what it is also)
The Soup is too sour for our taste bud or maybe we are really not a Fan of Tomato soup but I am sure there are  people like it. We try to put more Pepper and even salt. But I like their bread, there's a walnut on it. Too bad we didn't have a picture of it. I am only person (I guess) who managed to finish the soup. (though the taste really like a sauce for spaghetti)

For our main course, we all had a Steak. Though we already pre-ordered the doneness of our Steak, they still asked us. The server is having a hard time to remember our doneness but he did double check it with us. So, as far as I remember, I want a medium rare, Clang is Medium, Jam wants it well done and the rest is Medium Well.

So, when the Steak all come, we all talked about it. Because they served it in uneven doneness. I am really disappointed because I really like mine medium rare. But I pity Jamella who I guess not a fan
of "blood". Disappointed because they asked us but still give us wrongly.

But, the brighter side is, I enjoyed their Mashed Potato. I am not really a big fan of Mushroom but I did ate it, Dwijin must be very proud of me. another thing we liked is their Sauce / Gravy. Clang asked extra of it. I am the first one who finished the food.

For Dessert, We had a Pandan Crème Brule That is super sweet. We all didn't finished it. I don't understand the taste. I guess, Pandan really don't get along with Puddings or Crème Brule. Because I remembered when I am still experimenting with my business flavours, Pandan really sucks big time!
So, I super don't like their Dessert.

But they are very nice as they waved the corkage of the champagne that Clang brought. (It just happened I know someone there)

I cannot say it's a good food experience, but it's really a good bonding experience. So here are more photos from us enjoying the night. Photo credits to Clang.

Ramen Bari-Uma, A must try!

Long and overdue blog entry.

I really really really wanted to post this blog about this Japanese Restaurant that me and Dwijin discovered accidentally.

This Japanese Restaurant is located at Tanglin Shopping Center

Ramen Bari-Uma

We discovered this place when we went to British Council to apply for the IELTS Exam. We are so hungry and still unsure what to eat, it's even drizzling that time so we decided to have a Ramen when we saw this Small Japanese Restaurant.

So, the first time we ate their, we fell in love with their Ramen, the soup it self is FANTASTIC! It's Heaven!. So, this Japanese Restaurant is now our First Priority once we are at the town.

The second time we ate their is after Dwijin's Examination (Speaking Test). We did enjoy it again, So this time around, I decided to take a photo of their food and their Menu as well.

Here's their Menu, so next time you know what to order.

So, Here's what we had. For appetizers, we choose a Fried Gyoza and their Chicken Wings. Well, for someone like me, who loved Fried, I am quite disappointed because I expect a really Fried Gyoza, those crispy crispy kind. So, maybe next time can ask them to fried some more. But the taste is delicious, I really like it.

For  the Chicken Lover, Well, I Love Bon Chon Chicken, so I am not really into their chicken, But if you are someone like Dwijin who is Anti-Bon Chon, he said their chicken is really nice. Well, I guess it depends on individuals preferences.

Another Appetizer / Side Order is my ultimate favourite, YAKITORI! their Yakitori is shiok! we ordered a mix yakitori.  I just hope next time there will be more yakitori sauce.

And for the WIN, here's the RAMEN!!!!! We both ordered a Different Ramen. Dwijin had the Shu-Uma. (not sure with the name, I took a photo of the menu really bad) Dwijin ordered another set of noodles. It's only 2 SGD for extra cup of noodles.

While me, I had the Ajitama-Uma. because I like their EGG. I liked how they cook their egg.

So that's it. Here's the Japanese Restaurant that we always recommend to our friends. Though it's quite far from where we stay. hoping for a Franchise or Branch near to our place. Well, just like what Dwijin says, it's really delicious because it's a True Japanese who cooked a True Japanese Food. Nothing beats the Authentic!

So, people who are planning to have a vacation here in Singapore, or those people who are new here in Singapore even those people who stayed here so long but still haven't heard about this Japanese Restaurant. Try to visit it! It's worthy!

Heartbreaks

"I want to die!!!!!"

The most famous line after the severe break-up. It's normal, It's common. Some people will really commit suicide because they can't take the pain and some are just saying it because they felt that it's the end of the world.

It's actually true, it's painful, it's like how are you going to face the tomorrow with a brand new status? How are you going to face the reality that its over between you and your special someone? someone that you spend so much trials and happiness and joy and probably dream about the future, your future. It's painful.

I remembered my most painful break-up. He and I so called "engaged" we dream about our future, we are actually okay from the day he started courting me, until one day, I received a temporary break-up or "cool off" message. I was totally wondering why? what went wrong? why he suddenly changed? why out of nowhere I will received that kind of message, in the morning. Why why why? I still tried my best to win him back, I did succeed for a while but I actually felt worst I felt that the love is no longer there, there is no actually love anymore, there's only pity. until the temporary became permanent due to issues like trust, infidelity and harsh words that made me realize that there's no point of holding back. I cried so much, my crying is like a song, it keeps on a repeat mode. I called my bestfriend just to cry. I go to school unprepared for the final exam, floating in the air, like a zombie, this is actually the worst break-up I ever had. I really do love him to the point I wish I am pregnant so he don't have a choice but to stick with me.

But, not all break-up will be a nightmare, eventually this break-up that causes you a sleepless night and swollen eyes, you will really be thankful for it. thankful because you two broke up. the break-up gave you a new chance to meet someone new or a chance to love yourself, a chance to learn a lot of lessons that you can imply to your life, a chance of knowing what you missed out and knowing what you really want to do in your life. You see, there's always a rainbow after the rain. there's always good in goodbyes. Imagine, if the guy didn't break-up with me, I wont be here in Singapore, I won't get married to Dwijin, the most wonderful guy I met. My life will be totally different from what and where I am now. So, I will be forever thankful for the guy who badly broke my heart.

But not all my former relationship gave me something to remember or something to learn. Only few of them actually. My first boyfriend during High School taught me that looks comes with danger and trials. I was mesmerized by his action when he left his current girlfriend that time just to court me, to be with me. I was mesmerized by his looks as well but because of him, I was a victim of bullying, I was bullied almost everyday and to add salt to my wounds, he cheated on me. I should have known if he left someone for me,  he can do it again and again and again.

While another former helped me what I am actually looking for a guy. Actually, there's nothing wrong with this Half Jap guy. he's sweet and he persevere a lot by finding ways how he can get my contacts. Anyway, I am the one who broke up with him because I find him boring for me. you see, I am naturally talkative and he is the opposite of me, he's a one liner and I am out of things to say for the sake of salvaging the conversation, He can't make me laugh and so, i ended it up.

But one guy surely let me know what is karma. We both love each other, until I got tired. I didn't imagine that it will come to the point of getting tired of overwhelming love, well I guess I also felt suffocate with the relationship. I know breaking up with someone is not an easy thing to do. I created a excuse like I want to focus with my studies, which is quite true and since then I don't entertain his calls. until after few years, we met again, we became friends and we reconcile. I told to my self that this time, I will do better and I really did it's just that when he felt that i am into him, he treated me like a shit and eventually broke up with me. he asked me how i feel, because that's what actually he felt when i broke up with him. I cried but i accepted the reality, this is the price that i need to pay for. from then on, i welcomed Karma into my life.

we might not notice it from the first few days, weeks, months or even a year but one day while you are sipping your favourite coffee or tea, or as long you are not busy and you find yourself, quite successful, you will realized all of the good things of breaking up. you just really need to accept it slowly so you can move on slowly. Don't rush.

The 25 years old Blackheads.

I know it's sound disgusting. But I really enjoyed watching this video uploaded in youtube.com by J Hall uploaded last August 4 2013 and right now  there's already a 353,515 views. I wonder how many is my contribution.

Anyway, the video description is about their Aunty who had a clogged pore for 25 years. So the nieces did some action. they removed it with all their energy. The blackheads is so thick and about an inch. What really amazed me is the size of the pore/hole left after the blackheads finally removed.

Anyway, here's the video, I hope you enjoy it as much I did.

Isn't wonderful? imagine, while I am watching this, I watched this with full of emotions. I want to be the one who is holding the magic wand trying to remove the blackheads. After watching it, I feltthe success, the triumph! Well, actually I asked Dwijin weather he got some blackheads that I can squeeze but he said "Leave my blackheads alone!" HAHAHA. He knows that I have this kind of passion for removing a blackheads. I used to squeeze his when he is in the good mood. Now, he don't let me do it.

I think the last thing that I squeeze is from my little sister armpit. she got this small thing in her armpit that I know there's a hidden treasure within. So, I told her she need to take it out or else it will grow bigger and it may cause her having a cancer because it's a cancer cell, anyway I told a lot of bullshit to her so she will believe me and will let me squeeze it. When I told her it's not gonna hurts she believe me and yes! I did it. I squeeze it with my two fingers, and she scream of pain and she cried. HAHAHAHA. she hates me for doing it but she still hugged me. SISTERS LOVE!

Anyway, if you got something like this, let me know. I am willing to remove it from you for free. I really hope I have a friend who got this, even it's not 25 years old, evenit's 24, 23 or 22 or whatever. as long you got a big, thick and hard blackheads, i'll be delighted.

Okay, I think it's enough for a disgusting topic. Happy Eating everyone!

Random Friday

After the stressing week, I am now doing a general cleaning.

Well, last Tuesday, I told Roma, my new tenant that I am not going to clean the house so Dwijin will realize how difficult it is to leave in a messy surrounding and also how difficult it is that there's no more clothes to wear. And Roma laughed at me last night when she saw me ironing all the clothes.

I am actually serious about what I said but because Dwijin invited his Uni friends this coming Saturday, so I need to postpone my plan.

So now, I am sweating and hungry and found out that there's a lot of rubbish inside our house. LOL. Damn!

Actually, there's nothing important thing to say here. Well, I want to blog about all the foods that I am cooking but I got no time to compile all of them. give me some time.

****************************************

I finally submitted my homework at Art Appreciation. Thought I could take my exam on Monday, but the school admin says, Monday is a Holiday so they move it on Tuesday. I didn't know there's a holiday on Monday in Philippines.  Can somebody tell me what's the holiday?

***************************************

This past few days, i hate watching Filipino news, it's not that I don't care about those victims of the recent typhoon. it's just annoyed me so much if they will proudly says that they are staying near at the river that's why they are in a evacuation blah blah blah. then some more i saw someone holding a 7 days old baby and she's crying because she cannot stay in the hospital because the bill. Well, this is what i call irresponsible people. I am not saying that they don't have the rights to be a parents or to have a baby, but atleast think first before you do some intercourse. Think whether you can afford to support your baby. If not, then strive hard first before you do anything. That's really pisses me off.

**************************************

Okay, I'll be going back to my cleaning. That's all for now.

The Baby and The Silly

Owkay! I have a new lappy and I named it SILLY.

It's an Acer V5. Stylo Milo Touchscreen!

I am so happy as my husband bought me. I think he pity me already because my old laptop was bought 2009 and my old laptop which I named Baby, is already in a die die situation. Baby cannot leave without any life support (charger). This life support must always plug in wherever I go or else Baby will die.

Baby also having a hard time to connect to wifi already. She cannot take it anymore, and she's quite stiff already as its very hard to press some of her keyboards. I think Baby has full of virus that made her slow.

I have a very good memories with Baby, I asked my mom to buy me a laptop before I take my Thesis, so it will be easier for me to do research. I used baby during researching for my thesis and also research for my favourite Oppa, Kim Hyun Joong and SS501. eventually I passed the Thesis and still taking care of Baby carefully.

But, I admit once I  become so unattached with baby, I brought Baby with me when I did my OJT here in Singapore, I let my friends to use baby for them to communicate with their families as they are having a hard time adjusting. There are times I cannot longer see Baby, and when Baby came back to me, after friends managed to buy their own I cannot longer recognize Baby. She's so different already and quite a lot of things is installed. Since then, Baby started to get sick.

But Baby have a good fight. She survived and still surviving until now. It's just that I think She need now more time to relax with Dwi's Lappy. They need to take a rest after all the great service they did to us.

Baby, I am very thankful for you. I wont forget how much my sister loves you, she love decorating you and put a lot of sticky sticker. Baby, You helped a lot of people not only me to survived the loneliness and boredom. Baby. I will always Love you.

Now, I am having Silly, You are so silly, I know you are new and you just barely know me that's why you are giving me a hard time using and understand new, but I know eventually we will be close just like how Baby and I. Silly, I promised to take care of you for 1 year then after that let see how. But I will try my best to take care of you as my Dear Husband bought it for me. you are the second expensive thing he bought for me. First is the wedding ring then next is you.

Silly, I know just like Baby you will help me with my studies, we will be together until I finished my second degree, just don't tempt me with the other apps that you have, we will be okay.

Silly and Baby. I love you :)

Happy Birthday Clang!

Hey! Here's another super late post for the sake of updating my blog. :)
Anyway, I've been dying to post about this Clang's Birthday celebration, but I've been rushing to finish my homework to meet my deadline. (well, I am still rushing but I need to practice my fingers and get used to my new lappy, silly!)

So here we go,

August 7 is my dear friend, Clarissa a.k.a Clang birthday, She's one of my entourage for both of my weddings. she's also close to me and to Dwijin. anyway, Clang decided to work on the day of her birthday. I knew about it because I keep on tracking her schedule, so, Sarah (another friend of ours, and also one of my entourage) decided to surprise her on the day of her birthday. :)

One day before her birthday, sarah and I met up in my house to bake a oreo cheesecake.

Here's the actual finish product of our cheesecake.

But there's something happened, when I am going to transfer the cake to the box, I really had a hard time doing it. So, the cake actually had a line of hairline / break. Dwijin helped me out while teasing me  which made me to irritated and annoyed. So I need to do something to hide the lines.

So, here's the oreo cheesecake, which I named oreomadness cheesecake. good thing I still got a few of oreos.

So, the following day, Sarah and I decided to have our lunch in Clang's workplace, to surprise her. I carefully plan everything. I waited for Sarah at the Bar (since the restaurant is on the second floor and the Bar is on the first floor.) I had my iced coffee for free (I can't drink hot drinks)

When, Sarah came she's carrying a bouquet and that the reason why she late. Since it's not my first time at Clang's place. I knew that she always at the front door, which is really true.

Actually when we came up, we saw Clang talking to someone on the phone, head down so she really didn't see us. We are actually standing in front of her, carrying the cake and flower. She is so surprised and shocked. she almost cried. She is so touched by our action.

So, in return Clang treated us for lunch and she also organized a dinner buffet at concorde hotel on a sunday night. The place that she chosen serves a lobster and crab which is part of the buffet.

This time, Sarah didn't managed to join us, she's working on a sunday night!
Dwijin joined us and this time he don't feel out of place because Clang's friend, Juvi is a Singaporean so they got a long.

One of Clang's friend, Marlon who is working at Sentosa Butterfly Park. He bought a butterfly to release. this is the same thing I did on my 18th birthday. But too bad I am afraid of insects.

The Birthday Girl, is so happy :)
So, after the heavy buffet we went to Clarke Quay exactly where Sarah's working. We had a drink and shisha. we played Shagidi Shagidi Sha Po Po, which I lead. They all laughing at my crazy acts specially my husband.

So, that's a wrap. That is all the happening on Clang's Birthday. Until next year! :)

A short trip to Philippines.

Last July 19, we went back to Philippines to attend my (our) Bestfriend's wedding, Raymond to his long time girlfriend, Katrina.

It's a simple wedding that only few people are invited, those who are really special in their life.

Anyway, we arrived about 6ish in the morning and for the first time we took the airport taxi, which i think they have a reasonable fix price for the fare. (MORE SAFE, NEW FX, and they even RECORD THE PLATE NUMBER of each cab are the reason why i think it's reasonable price) when we reached home we just had a very quick breakfast, took a nap and woke up around lunch time to pick up Aisle.

Well, we didn't go to MAKATI, which is part of our original plan because Aisle got bitten by her hamsters (she is taking care of Hamster!!!) as a very concern sister and brother, we asked mom to bring aisle to the hospital first then we will just all meet at the Hotel. The whole incident destroy our plans.

We checked in to the ORACLE HOTEL AND RESIDENCE along the Katipunan Avenue. We rent a van with a very grumpy driver to bring us there (and also to drop my mom and sister at the hospital first). Well, the room is quite spacious though for me it's a bit small for a 2 bedroom suite room with a price of XXXXX, I think it's not worth it. Though it's quite easy to find the location cos it's just infront of the Ateneo University. we stayed their for 2 nights and my sister enjoyed it so much. There's a restaurants and convenient stores nearby so i think it's not bad and also we didn't had a hard time getting a cab since it's along the highway.

On our first night, our good friend Arvin came to visit us and of course bond! Dwijin likes him because he's helpful and nice, so he bought Baileys for Arvin. Anyway, we went to Eastwood to chill out. we went to this first bar who have this game called "beer pong" which i think very funny and disgusting game but then again, when you are drunk or with the spirit of alcohol in your mind you don't mind drinking that beer with some dirt from the pingpong ball, right? I mean when you are drunk you do alot of crazy stuff. Anyway, i like this bar because i think we had a very nice servings. I've been trying to remember the name of this place but i only remember the name of the very friendly server, Emman.

After we finished our bucket we went to another bar, wherein we order a bottle of Bacardi Black. The service is bad and the promoters as well, as they are not so knowledgeable about the product that they are selling. Anyway, i taught Arvin this famous "Hokkien" phrase / style of drinking. Well i am not so sure with the spelling but it's about something that you need to straigh-up or else you have no BALLS. Well, Arvin and I did that and my gastric attacked me. It's quite embarrassing as i asked them to come back to the hotel as my gastric so painful. I think Dwijin didnt enjoyed much. Anyway when we came back to the hotel, I didn't join the two guys of finishing the whole bottle. they had their bonding time over the bottle of Bacardi.Arvin slept over and both of them threw up in the morning.

Anyway, The following day is my bestfriend's wedding. When we are preparing, i wore my brand new long dress and realized it doesn't match with my wedge. (and my sister told me it's ugly) so i decided to fold up the long skirt and turned it into short dress.

Well, Dwijin became the on the spot Bestman so he seated away from me. He even proud telling me he ate the holy host.

After the wedding reception, we went back to the hotel as we are supposedly meeting The girls, but last minute they cancelled it so we just sleep and eat at the hotel as we are going to Quezon Province early morning.

SUNDAY. We pick up Tita Veron and Tito Omeng with my cousin and nephew before we head to our main destination. we stop over at Max's restaurant at San Pablo for Lunch as I am craving for Kare Kare while Dwijin is for Crispy Pata. after the heavy lunch wherein we had a lot of leftover we continue our journey to my grandmother's grave. (I promised my grandma that i am going to bring dwijin next time we are in Philippines). we cleaned her grave, lit a candle offer a flower and prayer and shared stories to her just like she's alive. Before we went back home, we stop over at our Relatives place just to get some green mangoes. The green mangoes from my Grandpa's backyard is heavenly sweet. My Grandpa is so sweet he took the mangoes for me. Then we went to my grandma's bestfriend who took care of me since i was a baby (Note, she's the one who bring me out of the hospital) to introduced Dwijin. we saw a Santol on the floors so we picked them and bring it home. and for our last stop over, we went to my another granpa's house to get Fresh Banana. He got a lot of banana tree on his backyard. Nanay and Tita are dying for it.

It's a long journey and stressful for me as well as the kids bring home a "Salagubang" (Beatles) imagined to have a joyride with a salagubang? anyway, we bought Buko Pie at the Famous El Mare. I bought 2 for my family as aisle can finish one box.

Well, we reached home about 9ish. We wanted to have a body massage to this newly open spa just across the basketball court but we couldn't because they are fully booked.

Well, one thing i learned from this short getaway is very tiring! you know you got a lot of things you want to do but there's only a limited time. But good thing we are still here in Singapore which is very easy for us to travel back to Phil. i wonder how will be the situation if we moved to another country?

well, until next blog. follow me in instagram, andichat. (if you just want, i am not forcing you) i am not declining/rejecting anyone in my instagram unlike in my facebook :)

Bye!

Babies and Marriage

This year, 2 of my best buddies will be a father soon. Yaaaay! And that’s one of the reason why me and dwi coming back to Philippines next month just to attend our friend’s wedding. Though it’s only a 3 or 4 days trip only.

Babies are such a blessings, it will bind families together, I guess that’s one of the reasons why babies are often called sent from heaven

It’s just that I find wedding and marriages nowadays are forced or obligation or a compulsion, Sigh! Can’t find the exact word to describe it but I know, you know what I am talking about.

I don’t know I just feel that marriage should be a mutual decision and mutual feelings because you are really so in-love with one another and you want to start a family because aside from you are financially ready you are also a emotional ready. Basta! You must be ready and you think about it many times.

Sadly, most of the couples nowadays are just getting married because the girl’s pregnant. That’s why people thought I am pregnant when I got married. I know those couple who got married with “blessings” is truly in love with one another but I often wonder if the girl is not pregnant will they still get married? Will they still last longer? Or are they really the perfect match for one another? Well, nobody can predict the future. It’s just that I find it more sad sad sad situation, if the guy is not financially prepared, well of course with this modern days ladies should contribute as well, how they will survive? Of course! With the help of our loving parents, but how long you will depend your family that you created to your Family that you grew up with? Well, I think that it’s a good time to force yourself to be more matured I guess?

I hope whoever read this will never get me wrong. It’s just my thoughts. I am nothing against with anyone. It’s just my opinion!

In fact, I wanted to have my own baby soon. But since we are in a FAMILY PLANNING, let’s wait until 2015 – 2016 for a hopefully good news! So, Nanay there is nothing wrong with me or with Dwij, just relaxed. HAHAHA.

We are just preparing ourselves for more financial, more emotional and more more more things that we will need once we’ll have our babies.

My First Time in Philippine Airlines a.k.a PAL :)

Everyone has their own first time experience into new things, Whoever you are, How old you are, there's always a first time, World has a lot of incredible things, so first time is always present in everyone's life.

In my case, my first time experience that i am going to share is my first time travelling using the Philippine Airlines. Adventure by travelling alone and taking the Business Class section is a Bonus points :)

<3

Let me start this at Home, Singapore. It was raining heavily that day that's why i can't book a cab going to the airport, Dwij advised me to take the MRT instead, since it will stop at the TERMINAL 2. I agree with him, so we did take the MRT. he just also accompany me up to the station as we are taking different ways. It's another first time for me, taking MRT going to the airport (we always call/book a cab)

I reached the T2, without knowing where is the counter of PAL. i am few minutes late since the counter opened. I am a first timer in T2 as we always take another airline going back to Philippines and that Airline is at T1. I checked the monitor for the counter number and found out that it's near at the other end of the Terminal. When i reached there's already a long queue, I am not surprised because it's Summer in my country. Good thing, there's no queue in the Business Class section so i managed to check-in easily and hassle free. I didn't feel any stress (i usually get so stress and frustrated during check-in, i hate messy place) I am so happy. Now, I understand how it feels to be prioritized.

After the Immigration, I faster bought the Cigarette of my Dad trying to save more time so i will have more time at the lounge area. I kinda get lost finding out where's the Lounge Area, so it takes quite a lot of time of mine, I didn't noticed that there's a map behind the ticket. (so stupid of me)

The moment i step in the Lounge, the "WOW" word is keep on repeating in my mind. The ambiance is so nice, it's so quiet like a library. you will really feel relaxed while waiting for your flight. There's no announcement inside the Lounge so you need to keep track on time and also to their monitor showing all the Flights schedule.

I love the Sofa, it's so comfortable, I love the smell and the lights. They got a massage chair that i didn't try. There's even buffet and a wide section of newspaper. I love the Buffet, it's like a hotel style. Good thing i researched about Airports Lounge that's why i know it's FREE.

Here are some photos taken by me at the Changi Airport, Lounge

 Here's the special invitation!

This is how it looks like, so cozy.

This is how their set-up is. so presentable

I so love their seats and lampshade

My Duck Congee that taste nice

<3

After my enjoyable moment at the Lounge i head up to the Gate, waiting to board. Again, I felt the importance of the Business Class when they asked us to board in first. I was the first and thought the only one in Business Class Section. (we are only three in Business Class, The Two are late to board) I am so happy when i saw my seats.

A BIG SPACE FOR LITTLE LEGS

Look! How far my legs from the seats in front of me

Thought there was nobody! But this is how it looks like :)

This chair can be a bed. That is Fantastic!

I asked the very friendly Flight Attendant of PAL to help me take a photo :)

I super love the service! The Chair that turns into a Bed is one of the amazing things. Usually i can't sleep in the plane, but this time, i fell asleep comfortably, I can't even feel that i am in a plane, thought i'm just in my bed.

Another great things at PAL and "MUST TRY" is the Mango smoothie! It's heavenly! It's really delicious. you guys must try it.

This Blanket and Pillow helped me to have a comfortable sleep and flight.

And this Hot Towel that they are giving is just nice specially when you feel so cold. It will really make you warm.

Too Bad, I didn't managed to take a photo of the foods they served. They served me my favorite sashimi! A roasted assorted nuts, a full course lunch, and a dessert. I was so busy eating while watching the movie. It is a great flight! That i didn't even noticed the flight was DELAYED for i think 30 minutes or more, i never had the chance to keep track on time as i am enjoying my self.

As i reached the Philippine Airport, The terminal is better looking than the Terminal 1. It looks fairly new. Annisette, Didi's Sister who is working their waited for me. Thanks Set!

I really enjoyed the flight, that's why i decided to take PAL, Business Class again coming back here in SG.

NOTE: I don't have much pictures because i was completely pissed off.

It's my second time at Terminal 2, first is the Domestic Flight going to Davao but i can't remember how's the experience back then. then the second is yesterday at International (My first time in International). Outside, The Terminal looks way better than the Terminal 1. It really looks new.

After my Family send me off, i walk through the door where in i need to queue up to scan my bag, The queue is quite long, I am not sure whether there's a special door / entrance for Business Class. I just queue. so if there is, It's my fault!

The weather is so warm. I am carrying 25 kg luggage plus another 3 bags. The luggage is damn heavy because of the dried mangoes and my books. There was a Guy standing there helping a foreigner with their bag to carry and place it at this scanner machine. (dunno how it's actually called). After the foreigner, we are all Filipinos left in line. He just disappeared, like a bubble! so nobody is helping us. I was trying to carry my luggage, it's damn heavy i forced myself until the wheel broke, one of the wheel dropped. It's kinda irritating because the Filipinos behind me keep pushing me and my luggage. I am not yet ready to pushed my Luggage! They never give me a time to pick up the broken pieces of my luggage.

Another thing that pissed me off is paying the Travel Tax. I went to a queue and waiting for my turn. The Guy called me telling me it's my turn, and this Filipina who is not part of the queue and she even from the other end (exit) just cut the queue and steal my turn. Oh my gosh! So when it's already my turn and she's blocking my way i said "excuse me" in a semi high pitch and irritated tone. She stare at me and i also stare at her, she took her things and blocked my way again. she's totally infront of me, i think she wants to be first in the queue upon checking in. Too bad for her, I have my Business Class.

I don't like how the Terminal 2 looks like, It looks so messy not an airport type for me. I rather the old Terminal 1 even though it looks really old, still it looks an airport. The Terminal 2 is like a market. sorry but that is my opinion. it looks small and crowded.

But, after the Immigration it looks better. it's spacious but the boarding gate is still quite messy. I still got two hours before my flight so i am so excited to spend my time at the Mabuhay Lounge and try that Congee.

The Lounge is okay type only. It's not cozy, it's looks like a cafeteria with a sofa.

This how their buffet looks like. I can't stand up and take photo close because i am afraid to leave my things. It's not safe.

This is the congee that the Reprado Sister wants me to try. It's delicious, is nice.

I only have three photos. The experience at their lounge is so-so. i can't even pronounce the word WOW. It's okay. a place to sit down not to relax. it's a bit noisy. some are shouting and laughing. One of the staff shoes is so irritating. you know when you are too tired to walk with heels and you just anyhow hit the heels on the floor. That's the kind of noise of her shoe.

Maybe i'm like this because i saw better. so i already had a standard in my mind. I can't wait for my flight!

The Boarding time is 2:40 pm. there is 3 or more flights in the same gate. I leaved the Lounger 2:45, wondering why until now they haven't called (they allowed to page the flight inside the Lounge) According to the monitor, the Boarding gate will closed at 3:25. But guess what, our flight calledl later than that. People are all irritated, Both Foreigners and Locals. There is no proper boarding gate waiting area. It is damn irritating. It's not organize, it's messy. The flight is delayed!

When they finally called the flight. I understand they will let the two old ladies who's in the wheelchair board first. What i don't understand is why they will let the Business Class board last? is it the protocol? anyway, i managed to get board early because i noticed the lady who's responsible in controlling the crowd and take the boarding pass is not in the mood and she don't even check the pass she just anyhow tear it.

As usual, The flight attendant service saves the day, Food also saves the day. I am not  comfortable with the chair, cos it can't be a bed. It's a bit smaller than the first one. But service wise is very good.

Again, flight is delayed of 30 minutes. I am not happy with the delayed, it will just ruined the Good Service of the attendant.

Anyway, That is my observation. if you are not happy with it, i can't do anything.

I would like to thank my Hubby, for giving me this chance to experience the Business Class. (It's his idea!) Also, for giving me a 2 weeks vacation in Philippines. I love you Hubby!
