REPAINTING OF THE SILLY SINTA'S HOME (BAD) EXPERIENCE!

Yes! Our house undergone a serious repainting. WOHOOOO!

It all started when we realized (specially, me) that we already SO SICK of white color in every corner of our house. So, when Dwij decided to do a repainting, i grab the opportunity to contact some contractors before he change his mind.

So finally we have chosen this specific brand who's having a promotion. We signed up and we inform them to do the painting job as soon as possible. I was talking to this lady who is very nice to me which makes me feel and think "this is a good choice" BUT i was wrong. 

I am totally happy with the paint and the colors (quality) that we choose, the workmanship is so good, they even managed to "magic" the hairline cracks, what i am not happy is the working etiquette of the contractor.

We had our first meeting with this contractor 3 weeks before the target day to do the job. He is a very simple man, he does help us but not that much of choosing colors. he suggest maybe one or two then after that he just let us see the brochure and let me and Dwij decides on our own. So, that moment i can say the service is so-so. maybe i am expecting of someone who is energetic and someone who will be very eager to discuss with us the thing that we signed up for, i also expecting of someone will suggest that "if you choose this it will match with this color and it'll creates ambiance that will set your mood  for example if you choose yellow  you'll feel happy,if you choose very dark colors you'll feel sad and it creates your room smaller, if you choose red you will feel like fucking every day! blah blah blah" rather down just sit their and wait for us. We already choose the colors for our living room/kitchen/dining area and for the staircase, what's left is the colors that we wanted for the two bedrooms as we can't see it in the brochures. He told us that the colors we saw in the NIPPON site is in the other brochures so he promised that he will send a another brochures where the colors that we wanted is in it. After choosing the colors and the promises he already ask for the downpayment which we gave in cash then he go. 

The following days he called me just to asked me if we can move the painting job date to wednesday instead of monday and tuesday as according to him his schedule for that two days is tight. we don't have a choice but to agree with him, but before anything else i am the one who reminded him that WEDNESDAY IS A PUBLIC HOLIDAY! so we moved it on THURSDAY AND FRIDAY. i told him that we can't delay the work anymore as we are planning to rent out the extra room that we have as soon as possible.When i asked him when he is going to pass us the Brochures that we are asking, he told me he will call me back. 

So i waited for days and days and days, until 2 days before the painting day i received a reminders from NIPPON telling me that the job will be on May 2 at 9:00 am blah blah blah. I am starting to worried as until that day we haven't confirmed the colors that we wanted for the two rooms. and besides we are waiting for this Digital Preview that includes in the packaged that we signed up for. So, i called the company and asked them. The Lady told me she will call the contractor for me as i lost his number to remind him about the color. and yes a few minutes the Contractor called me (FINALLY!) he said he will drop it today he says he was so busy that he can't drop the color palette to us. (HELLO WE ARE ALSO A CUSTOMER!) then i asked him about the Digital Preview which i already had an idea that this will be impossible to happen, but i still ask because we are entitled for it. He told me like asking us if we want it, i told him yeah because it's part of the package. he told me that the Digital Preview is upon request as usually other people as long they already choose their colors they don't required this DIGITAL PREVIEW. He told me if we still want it we need to re schedule the job again. To end the fucking conversation with this Guy and before i say any nasty things i told him nevermind and end the discussion. 

Straight away i called the Nippon again to confirm about this, i asked the same lady if do we still need to request for it eventhough it's part of the package or they will just straight away do it because it's part of the package and ofcourse their job scope? The lady told me that it's not upon request. The lady trying to explain to me that if the painting job is so near they might not managed to do it anymore as it takes 3 days (maybe she was thinking that i just signed up and wanted the job on May 2) I told her nicely, if this thing only takes 3 days, well we had our first meeting and the deposit 3 weeks ago. She kinda helpless to find excuses when i asked her for discount since we didn't used the thing that we are entitled for. She told me   she will call me back because she needs to check it first.

A few minutes i received a call from the lady i talked to when i signed up for the package. She asked me if we mentioned it to the Contractor, i told her honestly that we don't as we thought that he knows his job he also never bring it up. i even told her that since we met last 3 weeks he should have time to do it since it only takes 3 days then the lady corrected me, it's 1 week i told her that the other lady told me it only takes 3 days and then she apologized as the other lady is only an intern. I told her about my point and she's also telling her point. She even told me if i want the DIGITAL PREVIEW we need to move the date. I told her no, we can't move it again. then she said what move? Then i told her that the contractor requested to move the day as his schedule is tight. Then she said (i think just to defend herself) She doesn't know about the contractor never inform them. I was seriously raising my eyebrow when i heard that lousy excuse, because how can the NIPPON sms me a reminder with the exact "new" date of the painting day! It's either she's not doing her job properly or she's just making excuse. Then now she sounds like she's on my side and i told her that we are starting to feel disappointment. (I also told her about the color palette). I demand for a discount, since it's no point of pointing finger who's fault i asked for a 50 dollars discount (as the DIGITAL PREVIEW is wort of 100 bucks!) I told her that i am not going to pay for something we didn't use. She told me she will call me back 2pm after her lunch break to confirm with me the discount and guess what. SHE DIDN'T CALL BACK!

Then on the same day the contractor finally came! He passed to me the color palette and i told him that i can only confirm it to him latest tomorrow and he told me it's PUBLIC HOLIDAY. i told him my husband will be home about 10 in the evening i think the way i said it made him realized that it's actually his fault why the colors are delayed. I asked him for the discount which he agree. We should be paying for 100 bucks for the two extra colors that we choose, but he agreed to me to pay only 50 bucks but he told me that it will come from his own / company money. (THE HELL I CARE!)

On the DAY itself is worst. I AM HAPPY WITH THE COLORS but i am not HAPPY WITH THEIR ETIQUETTE. They should start the job at 9:00 but they came one hour late. The Contractor called me and say they are late because some of the workers are late where in fact the NIPPON called me back and told me that they are late because they bought the wrong paint. AIYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

They will do the job within 2 days. for the first day they will do the staircase and the living room. Dwij and I close the door for our master bedroom as to indicate that they are not allowed to go in. once in a while Dwij and I go up to take pee and also to check their work. i open the door to our toilet after i used it for business and close the door for our master bedroom. (TAKE NOTE: The door is close but not locked.) The whole day i just stay in the room downstairs with open door to let them know i am here. when suddenly i felt like taking a pee. so i went up, go inside the room and saw that the TOILET DOOR IS CLOSE. I tried to open it but it's lock! Obviously someone inside. I knocked on it and the worker open and say sorry. when i go inside the toilet i saw a BIG LONG SHIT, LITERALLY SHIT That didn't managed to flush! Fuck i am so disgusted with it, I FLUSHED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I FLUSHED SOMEBODY ELSE'S SHIT and TRY TO FIGURE OUT HOW ON EARTH WILL BE GONE. I am so pissed but i didn't make noise. I just told him if he wants to use the toilet just use the toilet downstairs and he told me "oh! downstairs have?" I seriously want to slap him but of course i didn't. HELLO, i am sure this is not the first time you paint a house so you must know that it's not possible that there's only one toilet in the whole house and worst is inside the master bedroom and another HELLO!! even kids knows that if the door in one bedroom is close and nobody is inside, even though it's not locked it only means that YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO GO IN. IT'S COMMON SENSEEEEE!

Though, i am not happy with the whole thing i just let it pass and forget that it happened. BUT wait there's more! The same guy accidentally knocked down and broke the whole bottle of sesame oil! DAMN! IT'S SESAME OIL!. I saw him wipe the floor already i thought he will clean it with soap. So after they paint the whole house and put my two big shelves on that place where the oil splatter it really made me so mad. DO YOU KNOW THAT THE WORST THING TO DROP ON THE FLOOR IS OIL?!!!!. They just anyhow place back the shelves without cleaning the floor properly first so ME, I did the whole cleaning, of the floor, the shelves, the fridge, the rice container, the stairs and the other part of the floor which is so oily!. HE NEVER SAY SORRY! I WAS HAVING A VERY BAD SERVICE!!!!!! I AM REGRETTING GETTING THEM! (This statement of mine will make Dwij happy as he is actually suggesting other company and i am the one who choose this company!)

The Following Day Dwij told their supervisor about using the toilet downstairs, and the supervisor says his man knows it then Dwij told him that I caught his man doing business inside our room! Dwij also told him about the oil blah blah blah. The second day nothing much, the painting job is great only that there's a foot mark on the newly paint window. I think it's when they put back my curtains. The NIPPON asked me to rate their service by replying to that message which i never do. 

I want to give them 2. for the good impression at first (by the telephone conversation.). I think there will be a better Contractor they can get for their company, their color is just super awesome and that's about it. I can't really say i won't suggest them because as i say their colors are awesome but maybe asked them first who is the CONTRACTOR they are dealing to then once you get the contractor's name you better search on some reviews or you can message me if it's the same contractor who did our house. 

Oh Well! Atleast it's done. I'm happy with the colors and i would like to give credits on my Husband and ofcourse to me for having a great team work in choosing colors! I think they should hire us, as a COLOR CONSULTANT. HAHAHAHA


PS. The colors that we wanted for our bedrooms are not in the color palette that he passed to us so we are forced to choose a color that similar to our first choice! :) 

I WON'T GET THEM NEXT TIME WE'LL BE HAVING REPAINTING!!!
